Tonight I watched, on television, Billy Connolly. What a fantastic character he is. He spoke about having Parkinson’s disease and his journey through life. I have enjoyed his humour and fun for many, many years. He has been a constant within my life in many ways.
He spoke of how, as he has aged, certain faculties have, one by one, been removed. And this is true for most humans. As we age we lose our youthful energy, and with that, things such as our ability to remember; our hearing and eyesight; our flexibility of mind and body.
And this is the crux of my thoughts tonight. Whilst listening to and watching this wonderful individual I couldn’t help but think – this is not happening to me. I am now more energised than I’ve been for some years; even before the illness of 2013 – 2016. My body is now more capable of dancing the night away than previous to 2013. In fact, we, Keith and I, drove down to Sydney last Friday (a two hour drive) to attend a social ballroom night. Then Saturday night found us at another dance. And, yet again yesterday, Sunday, saw us tripping the light fantastic at our regular Sunday social. Three dances in three days, which we also did the previous week.
Now I’m not saying that this isn’t the usual for some. However, when K and I dance, we really dance! No shuffling around the floor for us. Oh no! We ballroom like we are on the comp floor – hahah – and we love it.
What still surprises me is how I am able to do this. I am now 69 years old with the energy and strength of someone half my age, at least.
I know this is due to backwards aging, and yet it does still surprise me, to a degree. I walk about with this secret, so to speak, and enjoy my secret as I interact with youthful vibrancy.
Many Blessings

I loved this post; you are backward ageing. I love the energy you have. Be always young from heart, numbers don’t matter.
I’ve spoken my reply to you, Anjali, as well as written it below… I do hope you enjoy! 🙂
Oh Anjali, you are so right; they are just numbers. Though, not too many years past I would not have thought of them in that way! It is only now that I am physically becoming younger that I can do so. Life is certainly sweeter with more youthful energy.
Anjali, Thank You so much for your constant support. You are indeed a treasure..
Much Love to You.

You’re always welcome and thank you so much for kind words, means a lot to me. 💝🙏🏻😇
I am dancing with you! A wonderful life-affirming post!💛💛💛
Rebecca, I have spoken my reply above, as well as written it below.. 💛💛💛
Wonderful, dear Rebecca, that you are dancing with me; I am so honoured by your comment.
And yes, I agree, it is life-affirming, as you’ve said. Indeed, it is so uplifting to be able to do as I can do today. The future keeps getting more and more exciting, more and more bright, and more and more down to earth, indeed.
Many Blessings to you

I am delighted we are connected! Life is best when shared with kindred spirits!💛💛💛
“Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she’s in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand”
xoxoxo 😀
Of course those words are by Sir Elton John.
It’s fab! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYcyacLRPNs
Something different, Resa, a reply via audio… 🙂
~~~~~
Hahah, dear Resa, indeed it is ‘fab’…
I love your references; they are like poetry that reach into the depths of our consciousness igniting knowings – without words, as such, to muddy our perceptions.
What a wonderful dance is within us – Tiny dancer in my hand..
Love You
Wow! What a wonderful comment. It was very sweet hearing your voice, a real treat!
Love you, too!
XOXOXO
Thank You so much, SD.
Your ‘flower’ comments are such a joy!
Excellent dancers are great because of their passion and sense of self-discipline – it’s not just because of their technique or age. Life is about living and the best among us, like wine, improve with age. Have a great time, Carolyn. Jo
Jo, I have replied with an audio version (above), and the written mode below..
Lovely to hear from you, as always… 🙂
~~~~~
I do love your positive attitude, Jo; you are most certainly one whose light shines brightly.
And Jo, I do love your faith in me as a dancer. Though, I must, at the risk of offending you, dear, dear, Jo, disagree with your insight regarding me.
It is truly only because of the backwards aging I have been undergoing over the past three years that makes it possible for me to, not only dance, Jo, but also to be as active as I am in the many streams of my life.
I do realise that this is quite difficult for many to comprehend. However, Jo, it is my truth, and will become the truth for many Light Workers who work diligently to remove fear from their lives. A guarantee that will become more and more evident as time goes by.
I am so pleased you chose to comment. Having you here is such a joy for me. You know I adore you…

Thank you very much. 😊 Carolyn, I appreciate your insights. TC. Jo
This post inspires me to be in good health in my 60s, and now I want to work towards this goal. Thanks for the inspiration.
You are very welcome, Megala. It is wonderful to know that you feel inspired. Please enjoy my ‘audio’ response as you read..
~~~~~
Quoting you – “now I want to work towards this goal.”
Hahah, it is wonderful to read that you feel inspired; and it is achievable.
I wish you youth, dear Megala, no matter what age you are!
Many Blessings to you…
WOW! A wonderful life-affirming and awe-inspiring post! Love!❤️❤️
Hahah, Richa, Thank You so much!
It is truly wonderful to be ‘speaking my truth’, so to speak. And it is equally as wonderful to know that, for those who work towards the goal of being ‘free from fear’, their rewards will be just as great.
And what are the makings of freedom from fear, dear Richa?
Life; with its ups, its down, and its in-betweens.
Much Love to you
Aww.. You sound so melodious!❤️❤️
Thank you so much for kind words, means a lot to me!🙏
Backwards aging, I love that phrase. My toes are a-tapping now!
Yes indeed, Ste J; it is a gorgeous phrase; and I love that your toes are a-tappin’… 🙂
Audio above, written mode below.. 😉 😉
Hahah, Ste J; and I love it too! It certainly has a nice ring to it; to say nothing of the practical qualities associated with living it.
Life has been getting sweeter and sweeter these past few years. To think this is to continue and get even better could be mind blowing if it wasn’t so darned real… Hahah..
Have a good one, Ste J…
Many Blessings
Wow, my dear Carolyn, I admire so much your energy. It must be so fun to dance like this. I also love dancing so I totally share your enthusiasm for dancing.
You give a very beautiful example of heart-lifting energy, enthusiasm and good vibes.
Have a beautiful and blissful day!
.
My dear Mihaela, it is so wonderful to read your comment and to see you here upon this post. I am reminded of you each morning as I sit at my dresser and see your beautiful faux Faberge egg – how very lovely it is; and how very special I feel to have it right here beside me!
And, yes indeed, I do love to dance. And yes, the energy I have these days is quite surprising, even to me, at times. Thank goodness for backwards aging. I know without the benefits of a more youthful body I wouldn’t be able to participate as pleasurably and with the enthusiasm I now have.
To know that this will continue is very satisfying. Aging is not pleasant. So to be experiencing many of the aging processes actually reversing is truly quite wonderful; and I expect this will continue, and it is just a little mind blowing to see where it will end.
Much Love to you, dear Mihaela – I truly wish you a blessed day!
Many Blessings
My dear Carolyn, it’s an honor for me to think that a little piece of my work is bringing you joy. This really makes me very happy.
I admire your energy and I love the fact that you inspire us to stay young in our minds, hearts and bodies and trust the backwards aging process.
I also think that how we think influences everything and that we can live the backwards aging on condition to have faith.
Thank you for the beautiful energy of hope that you bring into the world!
I also send you lots of love and wish you a blessed and joyful day!
…very impressive post, You are very energy Lady, …I kiss Your hand Madame.
Thank You so much for your comment. 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend..
Many Blessings
Charlee: “Our dada seems to think that sounds like a fun way to spend a series of evenings!”
Chaplin: “But he’s not sure he would have the energy for it.”
Charlee: “Which kind of proves your point!”
Why, Thank You Hipster Kitties and dada for your great comment; I really appreciate it.
And yes, I guess it does kind of prove the point. In fact, Hipsters; Keith and I are actually moving with greater energy around the floor than we have ever moved. We are truly enjoying ourselves so much. It is quite amazing; even to me.
Once again, Thank You; your comment is so appreciated and is so pertinent..
Many Blessings to you all
💞💞💞💞
Thank You…
💕 💕 💕 💕
Oh, Carolyn, we can see you and Keith dancing around the clock and having so much fun with it, but please save the last dance for me♪♫♪♪ 😀 I see Granny also dancing in the kitchen when she’s making dinner and around the house, something she hasn’t done since her menopause, because she hasn’t had the energy for it anymore. Now it’s coming back, step by step even if her feet still hurt. Enjoy! Pawkisses for a swinging week ahead and let’s dance🐾😽💞
Hahah… You’ve got it, dear Binky. The last dance is for you! 💃
And Thank You for letting me know that our dear Granny is dancing up a storm, too. We postmenopausal gals are so hip; the kitchen is our dancing stage! 💃💃
Here’s to you, me and Granny. Many Blessings for us all as we wend our way into even greater energy…
Sending hugs, kisses and pawkisses.
Much love to you both
