Optimal Health and Bodily Changes – January 2026

“I feel so calm,” said our dearest. “I feel bodily and mentally satisfied.”

And why is this, dearest?

“I can only put it down to the many changes I’ve instigated of late.”

Pray tell, dearest.

Back in October 2025 I found, on YouTube, Dr Nathan Bryan whose mission is to bring health to all via education and numerous untold (until now) applications using sunshine, foods, exercise and knowledge. I have taken his work to my heart and have been following his advice in regard creating and restoring nitric oxide in my body. Nitric oxide is a molecule without which our bodies decline into ill-health and premature ageing. One of his suggestions is to sit in the early morning sunshine for up to 30 minutes, as bare skinned as possible. The skin naturally creates nitric oxide during this period. If this is not possible, then taking in sunlight as best we can is advised – any sunshine is better than none.

He also suggests, among many suggestions, eating foods that help create nitric oxide such as dark leafy greens, raw if possible, as welcomed by our bodies. This has become my favourite first meal of the day – firstly munching on scrumptious lettuce and other leafy greens. Not so much raw spinach, as this is inclined to have too many oxalates! (More research needed.)

Exercise is another way our bodies create nitric oxide. My favourite exercise is, of course, dancing. This we, Keith and I, have been enjoying at least once per week for the last month or so as Keith’s knee continues to improve. I have also been lifting weights inspired by the need to increase bone density. The Liftmor/Onero regime, designed to build stronger bone (and muscle) has been my go to the past few weeks. I strongly caution anyone not to advance to this stage without consulting a physiotherapist or professional with expertise in this regard. Without proper form and technique the chances of injury are high.

I have also found an incredible woman online, Elise at Eligned Movement, who works primarily with the brain body connection. Her videos are not only entertaining, they have been an enormous learning curve for me in regard the Lymphatic and Glymphatic systems. Her bone developing strength videos have also been a joy. She introduces you to the wonders of using ‘towels’ for exercise purposes. I love to do at least one of her video exercises/routines daily. I can’t speak highly enough of the benefits – from greater flexibility, to greater overall strength and balance.

Approximately one month past I began a course of multivitamins that have been created to fill the gap between the vitamin and mineral depleted foods that are available to us, and the optimal health we all need. Once again, they were inspirational (as is always the case) as an additional help toward the goal of, in my case, fitness and overall health. Here is the link As a by the by, four tablets daily are suggested. However, The C.C. have advised me to take only two daily. It is my belief they are helping to bridge that vitamin/mineral gap. Time, and further blood tests are needed to confirm.

Recently, The C.C. advised I eat up to 90grams of cheese daily, particularly for the added calcium benefit. This quite startled me – I haven’t eaten dairy for some years. Two weeks later I am eating and enjoying up to 75grams of hard cheese daily. What a surprise. I am adding up to 35grams to the first meal of the day. Along with the leafy greens and salad, it’s a nice addition. Once again, time and testing will prove or disprove the efficacy of this new regime.

I usually do not do well in our Australian summers – and yet the intermittent heat wave conditions of the past months have not bitten as deeply as in past years. I can only put this down to the many changes I’ve made to my lifestyle, creating a more resilient body, and a vastly different mindset.

Optimal health has been my goal these past months. I can categorically say I’m on the right path – for me. Life is good, and I’m feelin’ fine!

  1. Java Bean: “Ayyy, our Dada has a shoulder thing going on right now! Not as bad for dancing as a knee thing, but kind of tricky when he has to catch or backstop Mama or whatever. They even cut a samba short last week because it was bothering his shoulder, if that tells you anything!”
