I haven’t spoken about my new piano, except to say it was to arrive July 8th. It did, and I am in love! As I walk past it in the morning I can’t help but smile; it is so beautiful.
My piano teacher has been off on holidays the past few weeks coinciding with the school holidays. I’m looking forward to our next meeting.
I’ve learned the first movement of Beethoven’s Fur Elise and am currently working my way through Bach’s First Prelude in C. Both of these music pieces, in general, begin the classical student’s journey, or so I’ve learned.
Not that I don’t want to play general pop music or the wonderful Broadway musical delights from Showboat to Aladdin – you get the drift!
I have a love for music I truly can’t define. It’s something within me and it has always needed some form of expression whether that be dance, song, and now learning to play the piano.
I know that this incredible journey will continue to surprise and elate.
I am enjoying the many blessings.

Well done, Carolyn. I would guess that, as with music itself, playing the piano is very therapeutic and relaxing 😁😁
Hmmmm… Yes, Charlie, it does become very relaxing and, yes, kinda like a meditation. (I had to watch the spelling there – I checked to make sure it wasn’t ‘medication’.) Hahahhhh
I even enjoy doing the scales, and all the basic mundane practices that need to be done. I just love it and all that it represents; which is thorough fun and enjoyment.
Ooops, I’m sounding a bit nerdy here! 🙂 🙂

Chaplin: “You can tune a piano, but you can’t tuna—”
Lulu: “Stop, just stop.”
Oh, you are a little bit naughty and a little bit nice!
And I luv it…. ❤️
All of you!

I am so excited for you. Pianos are the best of friends – when you reach out to them, the music starts to play and you are taken to another world.
I am too, Rebecca – excited for me, that is.
Yes, my piano is becoming friend-like. I adore it and I know it and I will become firm friends.
I feel so humble and grateful. I know you will understand that feeling.
Hugs across the waves ❤️

How wonderful!
It is wonderful. ❤️ As I mentioned, I absolutely love the piano. Apart from being something that is bringing me so much enjoyment, it’s also such a fabulous looking piece of furniture! To know that it is ‘mine’ gives me an enormous amount of joy. I don’t believe I’ve ever felt like this before.
It also makes me feel very grateful, for so many reasons!
