Ermilia’s Picture it & write (Sunday 04 November 2012)
Once again, here is my offering to ‘Picture it & write’ hosted by Ermilia (Ermisenda and Eliabeth) who invite others to join them by writing a fictional story or poem to accompany an image presented on their blog.
Was she afraid?
Yes, she was.
And, of what was she afraid?
She didn’t know.
The day looked gray. It had looked gray now for some time. She didn’t really know why. It just appeared gray to her.
She wrapped the blanket around a little tighter. She had always felt comfortable when wrapped up. It brought back those memories of time in his arms. Oh, how wrapped up she felt then. The sun shone. The colours of the day were vivid. Her memories clouded the view.
And now; what were her memories doing? Yes, that is what they did every moment of every day. They told her that life was now so different. Yes, so different.
Would she ever feel the warmth of being wrapped up again? She didn’t know. It all seemed so impossible to her this day. An impossibility she didn’t want to know. And yet, here it was knocking on her door.
