The Dance Floor Awaits: Resuming Our Love for Dancing

That’s what she said, Dear Ones –

Since our Dear Heart Keith’s knee has been improving over the past year it has become, once again, a constant thought. And what is that constant thought? Both our Dear Hearts are biting at the bit to be traversing the dance floor, once again, with grace and aplomb. Indeed they have… Last weekend saw them dancing the night away and backing up for a Sunday afternoon social as well.

Is this the time for our Dear Hearts to resume their love of dance? Yes, indeed it is. Will it be necessary for them to garner even more strength by practising their floor craft and dance figures? To be sure, it is. And this is what they have been doing over the past weeks – practising.

Their combined love of the ballroom dance is not a random love – no indeed. This combined love is a part of their together story – a story that will continue to dominate their relationship with respect, love, and gratitude. We shall leave our dearest, Carolyn, to speak on her own behalf.

~~~~~
Thank you my friends.
Although, regardless of the many circumstances of illness and injury, our ‘dance-story’ has continued, always, to be a joy for us both – whether on the competition dance-floor, or the social dance-floor. And, now that Keith’s knee problems are almost a non-event we are finding the desire to be dancing is, once again, centre stage. There are even thoughts of competing again!
Whatever comes, providing we are learning and moving forward we know that dance, for us, is integral to our overall happiness…
We would love for you to join with us in our journey back to where we love to be – the Ballroom Dance Floor…
Many Blessings to All
For those who have yet to read our three Free PDF Downloads, we welcome you to do so. We speak about our lives as spirit/consciousness, our current happenings as well as our predetermined future. We are Consciousness, Dear Hearts. That’s right. We, and you, and all that you see, Dear Heart, are a Consciousness.
    1. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You…
      I’ve been more than a little excited the past few weeks. Being back on the dance floor has been such a joy. We both love it so much. It’s like eating for us – necessary for our good health… 🤗🤗🤗
    1. It is, Dorothy, wonderful indeed. I’m already looking forward to learning new routines and figures – something that truly rocks my boat, as they say. 🤗
  1. Java Bean: “Ayyy, hooray, back to the dance floor! Our Dada is over here speculating on what dance is being done in that picture, which isn’t easy since nobody is moving, but he’s guessing maybe quickstep or Viennese waltz …”
    1. Yes, Java Bean, we are back – hooray!
      Great guesses by your Dada – but sadly no cigar for him. This image, with a not so smiley smile has deceived Dada. No smiles in the Tango, yet, for some reason I’m smiling a not so smiley smile, while K has his ‘serious’ Tango face on!
      But, the arm is the ‘give-away’. My left arm is up and over K’s right arm and not with hand resting on his upper arm. Were it not for this is could have been any of the standards.
      Oh my goodness, Java Bean – Dada has been tricked by a – tricky picky… 🤭
      1. Java Bean: “Ha, our Dada says now that you mention it, he can for sure see the Serious Face on the dancer behind you! He does like to say in his best Tom Hanks voice, ‘There’s no smiling in tango!'”
        1. haha… Yes, I made a Tango sin… Not so the two men – they kept their smiles deep inside where they belonged. I do wish though, that Tango etiquette would lighten up a little… 😇 Smiling boosts the fun!
            1. One would think so – I do! But, it is frowned upon by the judges… I am buoyed by the fact that smiling is encouraged in the other standard dances – thank goodness. I do like to smile! 🤭
              Thanks for your ‘heartfelt’ comment…
      1. It’s truly a pleasure, treasure — and ditto right back to you. Your kindness, support, and friendship mean more than words can say. So grateful for you. 💗🌺
    1. Yes Pooj, we missed out last year due to Keith’s knee recovery taking so long – we may have been to just a handful of dances altogether. This year, though, particularly the past weeks have been wonderful. Once again, this weekend we enjoyed two dances – one Friday evening and again Sunday afternoon, so enjoyable! 🥰
      We also missed our friends. The ‘social’ aspect of dancing is part of the fun too. We know and love so many…
    1. This may sound really cheesy, Jen, but it’s true. I truly love ballroom music – strict tempo, fabulous orchestration! So – my favourite dance is the one I’m dancing. I know; this sounds so lame…
      Any of the standard dances; waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, slow fox and quickstep are great. We also dance our Australian New Vogue sequence dances of which there are 16 danced in competition, with many others just for social dances, with more coming on the scene as each month goes by. It’s a great hobby that we absolutely love.
        1. I always wanted to learn as a child – a young friend did – I was so envious. In my 50s I had my first lesson. I loved it. It’s like breathing for me – absolutely essential… 😉
