Picture it & write – Teacups..!

Ermilia’s Picture it & write  (Sunday 29 September 2013)

Once again (after a long interval) is my offering to ‘Picture it & write’ hosted by Ermilia (Ermisenda and Eliabeth) who invite others to join them by writing a fictional story or poem to accompany an image presented on their blog.

He wanted some dainty cups for his office.

Was this unusual?

How would his clients react?

Did it make him effeminate to want such treasures adorning his desk?

____

He’d always felt a little different.

He’d always refrained from allowing his ‘other side’ to display itself.

_____

He’d been warned as a boy to stiffen up; keep yourself manly; don’t slouch; don’t cry; be a man!

And yet, he couldn’t deny the loveliness of this part of his nature.

_____

He’d let it happen, and enjoy the many peculiarities his nature offered.

_____

All that was left to do was match his décor accordingly.

      1. Thanks Carolyn! It has been a challenging summer for us but we are finally closing the book on this chapter. So good to read your lovely words once again. 🙂

  1. This is a wonderful piece of writing! You have always written beautifully. How I’ve missed your words, Carolyn.
Love, hugs and love and hugs to you!

(working hard in Ottawa since August, and not blogging so much, but have missed your presence immensely)

    1. Hello my beautiful Resa… 🙂
I’m seeing so much more of you. Not just an eye; not just a sensual mouth; but almost an entire face… ooh la la…. 😉
It’s so lovely to see you, and to be writing to you once again… Love and hugs to you… xoxoxo

    1. Ha ha hahhhhh… 😉
A lovely welcome; Thank You so much.
No promises though; a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, when it’s gotta be done…!!!
It’s so lovely to be back… xoxoxo 🙂

      1. Yeah! I saw your note on Ralph’s site. How cute is that? I’m so glad you are back. I think we all need a break sometimes. I’m not so regular as I used to be, and just trust that my true friends will be around from time to time to touch base, just like we do in real life. I’m an not as hung up on proving or learning anything by doing my blog, I’m just enjoying it when I can, and spending time visiting as well. It’s not a game, it’s a lifestyle, that I love, with real people that I also love. 🙂

        1. Hear, hear, Marsha; well said…!
I’ve also come to realise the need for a certain balance between this wonderful world in cyberspace, and the world at hand. Surely, with a little foresight and planning, we can enjoy both. 😉

        1. Hello Ralph… 😉
I’m sitting here at my computer reading and your sweet face arrives in an email… 🙂
          Lovely to see you…
As for a Valentine card – here’s hoping we both receive one or two… 😉 😉

    1. Hi Rebecca,
Yes, it’s been a little while. Unfortunately, I will continue to be a little spasmodic, blogging wise that is. Life takes various turns, as well you know. I haven’t the time to do it (blogging) justice at the moment. It is very unfair to expect cyber friends to visit, if one doesn’t have the time to do likewise… 😦 Though it’s lovely to see you, and all those who have taken the time to leave a little message, I’m just going to have to be satisfied with the occasional post, and the occasional visit.
As we know, Rebecca; it’s far easier to go with the flow, and enjoy whatever beauty comes our way…. Once again, lovely to see you…

        1. Hi Diane, glad you wandered over too… 🙂
I’m a little busy currently however, in the not too distant future I know I’ll be free to pop over and return the visit… In the meantime, it’s lovely to see your face.. 😉
