Animals reflect our behaviour. The animals we feel a closeness to, encounter often, engage with, attract, and so on; have a role to play in that moment of our lives. They offer an understanding to us of the ‘play’ that is our current experience, and give insight into the intricacies of our lives. Following is the understanding for the variety of birds known as Parrots. (The picture showcased is of the Macaw; one of ‘roughly’ 372 species of Parrot. Parrots are also known as psittacines.)
Parrot (General) (listen while you read)
Parrot; an unusual name.
Parrot; an unusual game.
Parrot; an unusual breed.
Parrot; indeed.
Why, oh why, do we call ourselves Parrot?
Do we? Do we call ourselves Parrot?
Or do we not?
To be or not to be; this is the question?
Are you getting wise to us yet?
Do you think that red is red; or is red, yellow?
Why, oh why, do flowers bloom?
Is it spring, or is it June?
Okay wise guy what are you up to?
Oh don’t go on like that, truly we shall have a fit.
Okay; let’s settle down and see if we can come up with an idea.
Confused?
A little…..
Why are you confused?
Because you seem to be jumping all over the place without ever coming to a conclusion.
Oh, you noticed…!!! Well yes, we do seem to do that, don’t we….? Hmmmmm, we jump all over the place and never seem to come to a conclusion….. Yes, I do believe that you are right. We jump all over the place (mentally speaking, of course) and we don’t ever seem to reach a conclusion. You’re right. What can we do about this aspect of our personality?
Knowing it will help tremendously. You do know that being aware of a condition is half the battle. Once we are aware, it can linger longer where we can see it, and then we have the opportunity to perhaps change it. We say perhaps because not always do we want to change; do we? No, not always is change a welcome thing.
However, we know that the parrot personality is one that does like to change. This is why the Parrot personality has difficulty; jumping about. This is instinctual; one might say.
Instinctual?
Yes, instinctual. You see; the Parrot personality is a personality that ‘innately encourages change’. However, it is a very strong personality; one that takes some controlling; if you know what I mean. A very strong personality requiring discipline.
Disipline?
Yes, discipline.
And why does it need discipline?
It needs discipline otherwise it will jump about never coming to conclusions. Simple enough. Therefore, (you very strong personality Parrot) settle yourself down; think carefully about your subject, and then, when you are quite ready, take that bull by its horns and do justice to your subject; remembering to make a conclusion. That is right. Remember to make a conclusion. Do not let it sit up there somewhere in the clouds. No; we need you here on earth having made a wonderful conclusion of your subject. Savvy? Good; that’s a start.
Well, well, well my fine Parrot personality. An in-bred ability for change. An agreeable ability indeed.

Yeah, sometimes I am a parrot, I jump all over place without ever coming to conclusion!! and yah! I believe “Change is unchangeable Gift of God” I Embrace change.. because if i don’t welcome change , it leads to emotional instability , but not always.. Thanks for the life lesson about discipline.. I will start working on it from now.. Big-thanks for the reflection… I am really amazed at your reflection(about animals) 😉 .. Its great and I always wonder how you do it!!!.. You are really really creative.. I love it!!! and I am Glad I found you on this virtual world.. Thanks to wordpress and you 🙂 .. Now its time to concentrate on Discipline!!! Right :).. Have a great day 🙂
And I am glad to have ‘virtually’ met you too. You are a lovely soul, indeed. 😉
I will try to explain how I do this; as best I can…
I ‘feel’ energy. As a young girl I could ‘feel’ what others were thinking and feeling. This has continued until today however, now, instead of it being there ‘all the time’ I can now ‘engage’ this when I have the need to. So what I do is to sit quietly and ‘attune’ to the energy of my subject and I receive the feelings which I then put to paper as words….. 😉 Is this helpful? 😉
Jenny, I have since done the Pigeon Reflection (as you know, I’m sure) however, I also had a request for the Dove. To my surprise the Dove reflection speaks about being ‘as one’ with the Pigeon and the two are to be seen together as one. You may care to ‘take a look’ 🙂
Yeah .. Its obviously helpful.. 🙂 Yeah i have seen Pigeon and Dove Reflection, Those are great.. 🙂 Thank you ..
Warm Regards
🙂
You are to be commended for such a well-conceived, cool blog, my animal loving friend!
Why Thank You very much indeed… 😉 I’m having such fun… Remember, if you’d like a reflection (and don’t want to make it public) you can email me privately… 😉
