An excerpt from our previous post – ‘We Shall Assist As We Can’
Our dearest asks if there is one food that all can consume with health as its goal.
There is more than one, dearest. However, to address your question: Food in its raw form is optimal. This may be difficult for those with inflamed tummies. We advise to proceed slowly. However, raw food has its advantages due to its nutritional values being, more or less, intact. The ‘source’ is ultimately responsible for its nutritional value. Obviously, plants grown in densely nutritional soil will harvest best. Our dearest adds – Free of pesticides and herbicides. These are added toxins.
Yes indeed, dearest.
Today I would like to ask the question: What are the foods that have good health as their goal?
A broad topic, dearest. However, we appreciate your question and will give some of the foodstuffs available that will procure good health.
We shall begin with the food, that if eaten will evidence optimal health.
Any food derived from the plant kingdom, specifically the cruciferous family. This genus has enzymes within that break down to produce many organisms of health. Breaking down these enzymes is of ultimate importance, otherwise, dearest, the benefits are less as they go unintroduced, so to speak.
And how can we best break down these enzymes so as to benefit best?
This can be done by cutting the plant into small pieces; blitzing the plant in a grinder or food processor; and lastly, by chewing the plant. A smoothie, for instance, would be an optimal form of breaking down the enzymes to invest in the variety available. By this we mean: We would not limit a smoothie to just one cruciferous vegetable. No, dearest. We suggest two or more cruciferous vegetables added to your daily smoothie would be best.

Note: I went a ‘googling to see if I could find some corroborating data before publishing this post. I found an article, which I believe is quite interesting. https://kitchenpearls.com/why-cut-broccoli-40-minutes-before-cooking/

Lulu: “If the vegetables go crunch, I’m in!”
I’d be more than happy to share my afternoon snack with you, Lulu. Crunchy Baby Cucumber and Bok Choy Stalks with Tahini are delicious! Dada can have some too, if he wants some!
🤗😂😋
Thanks for sharing this great information, important for us to pay attention to the food we eat and how it affects our bodies.
Denise, lately I’ve been looking at ways to improve my health in all manner of ways; diet is one of the priorities I’m currently looking into. I’m learning how different foods affect my body and my mood. I definitely feel so much more calm of mind and body when I dedicate myself to ‘mindful’ eating. It’s been a wonderful time of self-discovery!
Happy for you
I did not know this, but I am thankful for the information!
You are more than welcome, Dorothy. It’s a pleasure to know that you, The Kitchen Queen, 👸 (as I see you) is impressed with this info. I too am currently learning. The C.C. are being very enlightening – as always…
Tea or coffee are also very energetic I think . Well shared
Thanks Priti, lovely to see you!

Dear Heart, we thank you for your comment and will address the issue of tea and coffee at a later time. This deserves a much more detailed reply.
Many Blessings
Welcome 🤗
I didn’t realise this, going to definitely try it. ❤️
Gary, one smoothie I make is with carrot juice (a carrot blended with a small amount of water) as my base. Then I add a leaf or two of whatever cruciferous veggies I have like kale, bok choy, baby spinach, a handful of arugula/rocket etc., a knob of ginger (approx. 10-15g) with more water for blending.
Not being a sweet tooth I don’t add fruit, but you can – whatever appeals. I prefer to eat a kiwi fruit, for example, on its own. Yum 😋
