Lhasa Apso Reflection (Listen while you read)
A happy childhood, indeed. The Lhasa Apso represents happiness.
Not all enjoy happiness, this is true. However, for those who inherit a Lhasa Apso; inherit happiness.
And this happiness is the result of good fortune. Good fortune for those of a gentler nature, indeed.
The Lhasa Apso is full of surprises. Indeed, dear friends, those who enjoy the wealth of delights of this breed will not only enjoy happiness, they will embody happiness.
“Hear, hear,” we hear all of you Lhasa Apso lovers calling. Hear, hear; is the cry of those who favour this happiness on four legs.
He/she may not look like ‘happiness, carrying loads of sunshine’; however, do not be fooled by the wisdom expressed in the face, and demeanour, of this outstanding breed. Do not be fooled by the old man expression. No, my friends; you will come to know this breed will ‘have your back’, indeed. This breed will be your constant companion, your dearest friend, your enemy’s dilemma. Yes, indeed; this breed understands man’s foibles and idiosyncrasies.
He/she shall guard you against intruders. He/she will own his/her place as a trophy upon the wall of excellence when it comes to guarding against intruders of a physical, and emotional nature. They will secure your presence with their keen eye; an eye that sees through the make-up of pretence.
Let a Lhasa Apso be your guide to personality; they will not let you down.

So true- We had this type of dog when I was growing up and he was so sweet xx
I hadn’t had contact with a Lhasa Apso, Christy, until yesterday (which is why I was inspired to do the reflection). He/she seems such a grounded and fiercely loyal dog. Though, like most small dogs, they think they are ‘huge’ and can ‘take on the world’… At least those were the energies of the little one I encountered yesterday.
What wonderful memories they give us no matter how big or small they are in physical stature! 🙂

Our last dog was a Lhasa Apso. We had her from puppy-hood until she left this planet at 18.
She was a sweetie. Our next dog was not a Lhasa, however, because of my allergies. We now have a Yorkshire Terrier which is a marvelous small dog…… and completely non-allergenic! A smaller dog than the Lhasa, she also has a “take on the world” attitude! 🙂
18 years, Kathy, is a long life for most dogs. You must have truly missed her! They really do become ‘family members’, to be sure.
The Yorkshire Terriers are definitely cute, and yes, I’m sure she ‘could’ take on the world, if need be! 🙂

Lovely reflection, Carolyn! I just read an article this week about “the best dogs for older people” and this breed was among those 🙂 But it looks like it would be a good companion for anyone, those wise eyes ❤
The one I saw, Helen, was a little sweetie (much like the little one imaged above). I ‘was’ tempted! He was for sale in the window of a pet shop. I stood looking contemplating for such a long time, then couldn’t stop thinking about him all the way home. I’m glad I resisted; our two gorgeous little ones are enough. Perhaps, though, when it comes around, this little pooch could be on the ‘short list’…!
And yes, I agree – those eyes – just gorgeous… ❤

They are sweet dogs. But for me if I would want a bigger dog. But I guess at this age and with my health a small dog would be better.
Any dog is great, Kim.. Though, if it’s to be an ‘inside’ dog, a little one is certainly better suited. Our two are both ‘toy’ dog size. Sweetie is a Pomeranian/Long Haired Chihuahua and Beau is Pomeranian/Jack Russell. We adore them, they adore us and each other (though, the jolly green giant raises its head occasionally when one thinks it’s ‘missing out’ on its share of hugs). 🙂
Keith thought he’d never want a ‘small’ dog, nor an ‘inside’ dog; he’d owned large dogs like the Doberman. Now he’s the greatest ‘pushover’ for these two little beauties. They have him wrapped around their little paws…! Yes, they are wonderful little creatures with an enormous amount of love to give… ❤

Adorable! I’ve never had one, but this one looks cuddly and sweet. Is that your beautiful voice? I love the recording. I have been trying that and am not really pleased with the quality of my voice – not just the recording, mind you. Lovely article. 🙂
