Her hair streamed across the floor.

Our love oozed into the weathered boards.

Never had we felt such tenderness.

It had begun a month ago.I saw her and my heart leapt out of my chest.

I could barely believe my eyes.

She was gorgeous.

Her body not only excited me, it enraptured me.

The curves of her voluptuous form enticed me to continue; they seemed to go on forever.

Her name was Paula.

Paula, I had thought.

Oh, Paula, if only I could be with you.

Huh, me with you; I had thought.

What chance did I have with a girl like you?

None; yeah, absolutely none.

And yet, here I am on the floor with you with every nerve in my body aching for you.

Oh, please do not disturb me.

Oh, please allow me this time with you.

Let me drink your spirit; let me sip your wine; allow me to show you heaven’s door.

Oh, but I ache.

Oh, but I swoon.

Oh, but I cannot believe I am lying here with you in my arms.

And yet, your flowing red locks adorn my weathered boards, and my heartiest longings.

      1. Had to say it, as you really did – usually just doesn’t work – when a male writer tries to female voice or the other way round, but you caught it just right, catching the romantic male soul and desire. You really did. If you hadn’t got that voice right it just…well…would have been ok, but he really spoke in ways I recognise.

          I’m always a little afraid that my male interpretation may sound a little girly, so I’m really pleased when a male makes such a comment as yours… Truly…! 😉

          1. Well..a male might not say ‘little heart, true – but you really put your finger on it there – you didn’t go too far in the opposite direction and make him sound ridiculously ‘butch’ and tough. To be really honest it was so authentic I rechecked twice you had really written it!

              I write (as a male) the way I’d like to be treated (and indeed I am treated in this way today… thank goodness).
              I don’t want too butch, and I don’t want too soft and mushy.. A male who can own his emotional body whilst trusting in his masculinity is a real turn on for most girls, me thinks…! 😉
