Ermilia’s Picture it & write (Sunday 23rd September 2012)
Once again, here is my offering to ‘Picture it & write’ hosted by Ermilia (Ermisenda and Eliabeth) who invite others to join them by writing a fictional story or poem to accompany an image presented on their blog.

If she tells me that darned joke one more time; I’ll, well I’ll turn around and give her a bite so hard on that pretty little neck of hers, she won’t know if she’s Arthur or Martha.
She just doesn’t get it…! She just doesn’t understand. Her jokes stink.
Gawd, she makes me so mad.
If it wasn’t for the fact that I love her so much, I’d tell her the truth.
Truth is, she couldn’t take it; nah, she just couldn’t take it.
But, hell, they’re so bad, and I just keep laughing and encouraging her to go on and on with those stupid punch lines. I pretend they’re funny; gawd what did I do to deserve this little wench?
Arrr, that feels better.
Alright, the punch line’s comin’. Time to let go the vampire inside, and turn to my sweetie with a smile as wide as Tibet.
“Oh honey, you are so funny.”

Loved this! The things we do for love. I hope she knows how lucky she is to have such a caring mate.
Me too… they’re a treasure to have; that’s for sure…~! 🙂
well i enjoyed your sense of humor for sure 🙂
Ha ha ha, Sharmishtha… Thank You.. 🙂
the pic did not opened first time, its spooky 🙂
Yes, it’s quite dark…. So, I thought I’d ‘lighten’ it a little… 🙂
good idea 🙂
You know it is love, when you laugh at their stupid jokes 🙂 Good write!
It’s probably a great yardstick for love, Joe…! 🙂
What a great little story. Her punchlines might not be funny, but yours is. Thanks Carolyn!
Ha ha, Resa…. Thank You…! 🙂
I really enjoyed the humorous approach you took with your piece especially since the photo is pretty dark! Definitely got a laugh out of me haha! This really does show the silly stuff people do or endure for love 🙂
We do, indeed…. Ain’t love grand…! 🙂
This is funny! I tell my husband all the time that his humor is lost on me. I really enjoyed this.
So glad you enjoyed it, Deana… It is true for so many of us…! 😉 🙂 😉
I wouldn’t have picked a funny story out of this picture. I think you did a great job. I love the dead-pan expression. He isn’t impressed. 😛 Great work and thanks for contributing this week!
– Ermisenda
Thank You Ermisenda. 🙂
I love contributing; it allows me expression that wouldn’t see the light of day otherwise. I find it such good fun… 🙂
I wonder if VampireLover will like this one?
I loved it!
*Now, be careful, my dear Hook; discretion is the better part of valour..! 🙂
Nice! I burst out laughing at the opening line!
I enjoyed writing this one so much, Anne… I was giggling and chuckling all the way through….! 🙂
I loved the Martha or Arthur. Great line.
Thank You Randy; it just seemed to fit…! 🙂
My parents used this phrase a lot…. He didn’t know if…. They wouldn’t know if….
Quite judgmental really…!
However; in this case, it was just plain fun…!
hahaha. this was very unexpected, I think. But I like it – as I usually don’t like jokes either! 😛
Nice one! 🙂
I really surprised myself with this one..! 😉
I’ve been seeing a lot of ‘dark’ pics lately, and I wanted to make a bit of fun out of this one. That’s how it happened… basically because I was bored with the ‘dark’.
I loved how you created a ‘soft’ romantic, and tender story. It’s lovely to see the world as others see it…! 🙂
Thanks for dropping by… 🙂
I really liked what you did. It’s amazing how things can seem dark but be fun instead. It all depends how we look at it and what we want to see! 😉
