Which Key?
He was talking about the keys of life. He said that if you choose the right one all things will fall into place. But how? How do we choose the right one? We could go for the most unusual, and maybe that would bring with it grand things to do. Or, perhaps we could choose the least, and never get to know what amazing things there are to see. Oh how difficult it is to choose. Somewhere, hidden amongst those keys of life is the key that will answer all of the questions that we could ever ask. Somewhere amongst those keys are fortune, and a life blessed with gratitude and love. Oh, how to choose; how to choose? Maybe it’s pot luck. Maybe we don’t get to choose. Maybe we are just like flotsam and jetsam floating about on a never ending sea of change. Who knows? Yes, who knows? I guess the only way to know is to dive right in there and choose a key; let it take you where it will; and enjoy the ride. Yes, perhaps that’s the way. Who knows? Who knows?
Ermilia’s Picture It & Write (Sunday 01 July 2012)
Once again here is my offering to ‘Picture It & Write’ hosted by Ermilia (Ermisenda and Elizabeth) who invite others to join them by writing a paragraph/poem of fiction to accompany an image presented on their blog.
A key to sing, a key to turn,
A key that makes a young heart yearn,
A key to peep through secret holes,
Or to wind up happy walking dolls!
A key you see can open doors,
And shut them hard when someone snores!
So a key for you will be different to me,
Try your hand and see what you see!
Hi Catherine,
Too, too sweet…. Why don’t you submit it to Picture It & Write? You just may enjoy it! 🙂
Wow, love this entry.. and it may have inspired a thought of one of my own =)
Great G. – can’t wait to see it…! 🙂
I like this suggestion that none of us really has the answer. Especially in an environment where so many are trying to show the answers they have and I don’t really believe them. I believe you.
Thanks Anne, it really is an individual thing…. we really do, IMHO, have to find our own truth. That may agree with others however; I think, more likely, we should all agree to disagree on a lot of points and allow each other to think as best suits us…! As long as we don’t want to ‘harm’ each other for thinking differently, then what does it matter!?!
Thanks for your comment… 🙂
I’ve just realised who you are…. Your PI&W story was captivating… 😉
Chose a key. If it’s not the right one, maybe you can get another one cut.
Hey, great idea…! 🙂
Know a good locksmith? 🙂
It’s great to see you contribute to Picture it & write for another week. I love your way of communicating a story. It’s like an internal dialogue but with so much eloquence. It’s not just a mad scramble of incoherent thoughts that my own internal dialogue might be like. 😛 I also really liked how you mentioned that maybe there was no choice. A thought provoking piece. I hope to see you contributing next week again!

I’m smiling a very big smile…. 🙂 Thank you for you kind comments. I’m really enjoying this style of writing. I’m just allowing my imagination to speak; it’s sort of like writing poetry with a whimsical feel almost. &
Yes, I’d be pleased to continue contributing; I’m enjoying it tremendously… 🙂
